Ways You Can Help

Your Help Can Make a Real Difference

At New Hope Residential Centre, we believe that every addict should be given the safe space to Recover from addiction, grow and live a life worth living.  We offer a structured programme of supports designed to enable clients to recover, grow, develop, and move back into their communities.  A gift of whatever you can afford will help many people in need.

Your generosity enables New Hope to provide the programme of support for people who are homeless, in addiction and social exclusion.  As we are completely unfunded, your support is vital to us and appreciated by all at New Hope.

Host Your Own Event

Get your family, friends, colleagues, or classmates to support you and organise a fundraising event.  Whatever you want to do, the New Hope fundraising team is here to support you and offer you any materials and resources available to assist you. By organising an event you are making a valuable contribution to New Hope, helping to alleviate the cycle of homelessness and addiction.

If you need a bit of help thinking of what you’d like to do to support New Hope or if you need t-shirts, collection buckets or posters you can contact fundraising on (01) 451 2346.

Team bonding & Sports and Social Clubs

Fancy something bigger, how about organising the biggest fundraiser of the year! The Kube Fundraising Event. Based on the concept of the popular ITV Gameshow, The Kube Fundraising Event, will entertain your members and guests while raising funds for New Hope.

Contestants will be set tasks that will test their Physical Ability, Mental Ability, Intelligence, and Responsiveness. One lucky punter will take first Prize (usually €2,000) – they can nominate a charity to be the beneficiaries.

Get your office to loosen up by giving a €1 to have a dress-down Friday, or themed day.

Fancy something a bit more social? Organise a sports team and have interdepartmental matches or take on a team cycling or running challenge. If that’s not your cup of tea, then maybe a coffee morning.

We can provide collection boxes, or help you to set up giving through your payroll.

If you have raised money then check if your employer will match it, many companies offer matched giving – boosting the impact of your fundraising. If you’d like to get more involved and become a New Hope partner, then please contact us to discuss this further.

If you have a drama group then put on a charity play or pantomime and the cost of the entry fee will go to a good cause.

Donate in celebration

If you have a celebration coming up, why not give a unique present for a Birthday, anniversary or Wedding? Donate your money to New Hope and you’ll be giving the gift of hope to the most vulnerable in our society.

Schools and Youth Community centres

A non-uniform day is a classic fundraiser. You could tie this in with a fun day – stalls could include a tombola, raffle, face painting, guess the baby photo of the teachers, car washing, hair beading, egg and spoon race, guess the number of sweets in a jar and anything else that you can think off.

Children can get more involved by forming a charity committee and organising a fashion show, debating contest, or sports event.

Have fun with friends and family

Start a book club, donate money for each event and discover a new author you’ve never read or reread your favourite book. Or if films are more your interest…
A film night where the host gets to pick the movie then discuss it afterwards, or maybe just enjoy the homemade popcorn instead.

Once the weather gets warmer you could have a BBQ party, get to know your neighbours better and raise some money for charity too.

For friends and family who love good company and fine food get together for your own fundraising ‘come dine with me’ evening.

Set up an iDonate page and send your event donations to us.

Mums’ groups

Organise a play date with other mums, donate, eat cake, drink tea and have a natter.
